From helping your dog to know when to bark, to know when it’s not okay to beg, to come to you when you call him, it’s easy to see how at least some training can be very beneficial. It may seem hard to teach your dog new tricks, but in reality it’s simple if you just keep trying the right strategies. Here’s a few good ideas.
When training your dog make sure you never stop training. This may sound silly but it is actually very sensible. Your dog may learn tricks quickly and not forget them, but dogs never stop learning so you need to take advantage of this by teaching often. Also, it never hurts to reinforce what has already been learned.
Make sure you are feeding your dog high-quality food. Behavior problems are often caused by a poor diet. High-quality dog food has human-grade ingredients and an expiration date. Making sure your dog eats plenty of protein and avoid giving him “junk” food from the table. A well-fed dog is a happy, obedient dog.
You should teach your dog to walk on a loose leash. The process is simple: when taking your dog for walks, if he begins to pull, stop. As soon as the leash loosens, begin walking again. Being consistent with this will teach your dog that he will not get to proceed if he is pulling. This will allow for a much more enjoyable walk for you, and also save your arm muscles from getting too sore!
The diet you are feeding your dog needs to match their needs and activity level. The diet that is right for a working dog is a lot different from that of a dog that lounges around the house all day. Talk with your vet regarding what is right for your pup and don’t forget their needs will change as they age.
At the onset of training a command or skill, it is best to keep the corrections to a minimum. It’s not fair to over correct him for something he doesn’t know how to do, and you will only discourage him from wanting to work with you. Remember to keep corrections appropriate for his age and knowledge of the task you are working on.
When you are training your dog, remember to take frequent breaks and not try to teach too much all at once. Your dog will quickly become overwhelmed and refuse to follow directions if the training period is too long. So ensure your sanity and your dogs by teaching in small increments.
When training your dog, make sure that you understand his personality. If you don’t, then it will be impossible for you to train him effectively. So carefully study your dog before you attempt to train it.
Training a dog is a great experience. Seeing how your pet develops good behavior and respect for your command you is a rewarding experience and well worth your time. Training a dog should be treated as an opportunity to have fun instead of a chore, so have fun trying out the suggestions in this article!Different kinds of references anyone may check out . . . You say which software you are using. You can put one of these (called a hyperlink) into Word, PowerPoint, a website or an email. If you wanted to make the word jump to say the google website, in many applications all you would have to do would be to highlight it, right click, select and then put where it says "address" (or just copy and paste the relvant website address there – you need the bit as well). Good luck!
